Background Checks
Beginning in Fall 2015, by new PA law, all coaches and volunteers will be required to complete a three-part background check. Please visit the PA website for all of the most current and official information. Backround checks are good for 5 years. EPYSA also mandates concussion and Safe Sport training for all Coaches, no exceptions.
Please print your certificates to provide our Risk Management Coordinator/President/VP's with a current copy. There are no exceptions to this policy.
The Child Abuse History and PA Criminal Record checks are mandatory for everyone. If you have been a continuous resident of PA for 10 years, you can sign an affidavit that you have not had any of the named offenses and skip the fingerprint check. If you already have a set of checks from your employment (School District Employee) or other reason (Adoption Planning), you do not need to do it again - just please provide our Risk Management Coordinator current copies.
